FAITH IN ACTION: “USE ME LORD!” Mark 6:7-13 (ESV)

Most Gracious Father, let us not fool ourselves! Evil is everywhere! Let us set before You, listen for Your voice, learn to be equipped, and be willing to be sent. Let us realize that without You, we only stumble and fall. We mess up when we take on what only You can handle. Let us stand still often so that You may refill us as we study the Word so we are able to see how You want us to move. As we go out, people with hard and bad dispositions may come into our lives and our patience will be tried as we are faced with hostility by those who do not know You. But we are to remember that there is an enemy within who is very busy at his work. That enemy practices how to keep us off our assigned journey and prevent others from hearing the Word. You desire to use us in building up the kingdom but we are to learn to allow the Holy Spirit to use us in order to give us the strength to fulfill the mission. LORD, help us to stand on our Source so our light can stay on. Don’t allow the enemy to turn our light off with his smooth and polished ways of moving around us. Don’t be fooled! You have a mission on this earth, and he knows it. Let each of us pray to our Father to reveal that mission to us. Make mistakes, get weary, and fall down, but remember to ask the Father for strength to help us to get up and keep moving. Take time to learn what You have gifted us with and make a decision to use it for You. You can use anyone who is willing to be trained and prepared for action. While we may prepare for a long battle, the battle can sometimes be so short that we can only declare the goodness of our LORD because You stepped in, activated the power that You have already put in us and the enemy is destroyed. LORD, we want to be used by You so that we can serve and worship You. In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, we pray, Amen!
